In the following months, other women from neighboring towns were also liberated through the Madonna’s intercession.

Oral tradition tells of a curious episode related to the wooden statue of the Madonna del Passo. In the early 18th century, a group of madonnari (statue makers) offered to sell the statue to the local parish priest, but due to the high price, no agreement was reached. The madonnari departed for Subiaco but were halted by a violent storm. Upon returning, they attempted to sell the statue again, but a second storm forced them to give up. Interpreting these events as divine signs, the madonnari ultimately handed over the statue to the priest for a modest sum.
