• 1642: The sanctuary was restored after a period of abandonment as a vow for being spared further dangers (French invasions).
• 1644: Monsignor Aresi rebuilt the sanctuary with three naves, expanding its structure.
• 1799: During the Napoleonic invasions, the sanctuary was abandoned, and the statue of the Assumed Virgin was moved to Stazzano’s parish for protection from requisitions.
