In 1105, Pope Paschal II placed the Sanctuary under the protection of the Holy See, confirming its ecclesiastical importance. In 1109, Saint Bartholomew transferred numerous relics from various regions (Sicily, Rome, Calabria) to Patir, enriching the Sanctuary with an invaluable spiritual heritage.
